Denklingen railway bridge going to be backfilled

Photo: Stefan Christ...and everything back again: Exactly one year ago the concrete span of the Denklingen railway bridge was excavated - now it is going to be refilled. Protective matting has been cut and fitted by our volunteers to protect the new sealing layer from being damaged by the backfilled stone. You can find more up-to-date photos in our photo gallery.

While the rail track will be put back in place on the concrete span once the backfilling is completed, it will soon be missing  on the second half of the bridge. We hope to receive the administrative funding decision for the reconstruction of the steel part from the Monument Protection Service in January.
