The Track Construction Crew
Work input in MorsbachOur tack construction crew reconstructs and maintains our track. That means smaller and major works: track construction works as well as work on bridges, installation of platform illumination and cutting back the greens. The next "big" data for work input can be found on the right hand side of this webpage. Furthermore smaller groups also meet during the week.
Not every time but ever more often the "big" work input days are closed with a collective barbecue - companionship shouldn't be missed out, after all.

Vehicle Pool
We have a small fleet of vehicles. Nevertheless the rail bus, the control cab coach and the maintenance train have to be maintained and cared for. Here also applies: You're welcome as an expert as well as any layman who wants to learn by doing.
The vehicle team meets on the Saturdays between the "big" work inputs in the railway museum Dieringhausen.

Service On The Train
You want to actively help with the configuration of our train rides? Be it the selling of tickets, the support of our passengers, the sale of drinks and souvenirs or the operation service - everyone is welcome to help with his abilities and skills. Some conductors for example grew into operation service jobs and now contribute as shunter or locomotive driver - he is just as welcome as the professional railwayman, who wants to swap his Intercity Express or freight train with a branch line rail bus.
Contact person: Olaf Hof, send e-mail.
Hand-Out Distribution
To promote the "Wiehltalbahn" or the "Bergischer Löwe" we distribute hand-outs and posters in the Rhineland. Casually we are present on farmer markets and fairs. Interested to support us there?
Contact person: Ulrich Clees, send e-mail.
Co-operation "in the backgroud"
There's also much to do aside from the rides: Maintaining contact to colleagues from traffic politics and tourism and developing concepts for the monument preservation.
